I have been hearing about the Call to Prayer for most of my childhood from my parents, and it is exactly like they described. Five times a day, the Adhan, is projected throughout the city from the minarets atop the mosques. It is haunting and beautiful and I have yet to tire of hearing it. Nearly ever home and business in the city is within earshot of a mosque, sometimes two. I can hear it outside, in my apartment, and inside the mall.
